Drawknives The drawknife has been around since the dawn of woodworking. Over the ages, it has proved invaluable to bowyers, shipbuilders, coopers, cartwrights and chairmakers alike. It can be used for shaping and finishing flat and curved pieces, as well as for rounding and for chamfering.
French drawknife made of carbon steel with cranked beech handles and leather blade guards. The concave blade has a maximum downward curvature of ca. 8 mm. Blade length 145 mm, width 32 mm, overall length ca. 340 mm.
